Beekeeping Classes
Interested in Beekeeping, but need some information to get started? We’ll get you started, teaching the basics of beekeeping to get you prepared to have your own hive. Learn about the different types of honeybees available for purchase, the different styles of hives, and what kind of equipment you will need to get started. This program is meant for those with little to absolutely no experience with beekeeping! Classes are limited to 12 people per session to allow time for thorough discussion. Tea with the Bees
Join us on Saturdays, 10am-2pm, weather permitting, to safely view honeybees in their natural environment through an observation hive. This is a free event. See worker bees, nectar, pollen, drones, and maybe even The Queen. Hot tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and other beverages available for purchase while you sit and “spill the tea” with the bees. Hive Tours
See the inside of a full-size honeybee hive up close and personal. Personal protective gear will be provided as you open up a hive and get to see first-hand the inner workings and daily life of Texas’ hardest working girls. Treats made with local Texas honey as well as a sample selection of craft and organic, raw, unfiltered honey are included in the tour’s price.
